Studio Accessibility

When we moved into our new Kilburn studio, one big draw to the space was it’s accessibility! So many studios have steps, stoops and uneven flooring.

Our contact form has a space where you can advise us of any sensory or accessibility requirements so we can make your tattoo experience as stress-free as possible! We also encourage client’s to bring any items that may help them through their tattoo appointment (eg. headphones, fidgets, earplugs, soft toys, sunglasses etc.), and have blankets available for use during the tattoo process.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding Cult’s accessibility, or to arrange any of our accessibility options, simply pop them into your enquiry form and our front of house admin will happily organise it for you.

We endeavour to create a space where everyone can be tattooed safely and comfortably. Below you will find visual aids and measurements of the studio.

Front Door

Our front door is a double door with both sides able to be opened inwards, with a width of approximately 140cm when fully opened. Unfortunately these doors are quite heavy and require one to two people to open them, but this can easily be arranged by texting us on 0439 909 246 just prior to your arrival!

There is a tiled part of the entrance with a height difference to the street of  5cm and two bollards at the entrance with a width of approximately 90cm between them. We have 5cm rubber threshold ramps available to be put out upon request to bridge this gap between the sidewalk and the front entrance to the studio.

Interior Doors & Flooring

Cult has continuous flat flooring throughout, with the exception of a small threshold bump (1cm in height) between the second room and the rear of the studio. The first doorway inside the studio measures 80cm across, and the doorway in the second room that leads to the bathrooms at the rear of the studio measures 90cm across.

There are no interior steps or stairs at Cult.

Accessible Toilet

Our accessible toilet is just to the left of the second set of interior doors. There is an entrance door and a door to our accessible toilet, both measure 90cm across. The accessible toilet has a sliding door with a twist lock closure. There is a hand rail on the wall next to the toilet, the distance between the two is approximately 60cm.
